How It All Began
Bringing simplicity to the world of soap-making by focusing on natural, local, homegrown and simple ingredients. As a homeschooling mom with 5 kids, simple is the way for this household! Keeping it real and attainable is what Striving and Thriving is all about. It started with a supply of breast milk that was sitting unused, and thus the Mother’s Milk soaps were created. The joy of creating soaps was greater than our ability to use them up, so it became a business.
Homegrown, homemade, local sources: That's the ongoing goal for Striving and Thriving Soaps. This cannot be perfectly done, but the drive is to keep finding ingredients that are grown and produced locally. Using various milks, teas, and tallows with much more in between, you can trust that these soaps and products contain a little bit of home. If I don't want my family using it, why would I expect yours to?
For a while we have been removing more and more junk from our products around the home. Our passion for cleaner living is what drives Striving and Thriving Soaps LLC. We use natural clays along with essential oils to please the eyes and nose, but the goal is to bring as much natural as possible without the extra flair that would cause extra time and expense. There are many unscented options that use ingredients for a beautifully clean experience without worrying about skin irritations. There are also Tallow Balms created from locally-raised beef tallow and hand-crafted soap scrubbers/bags.
Striving and Thriving Soaps keeps growing, learning, and creating for the needs of the customers. We even use it as an opportunity for our family to learn about business as part of their home school experience.
If you know anyone with sensitive skins, younger children, or just want to be rid of the unnecessary pizzazz that other soap companies put in their products, then Striving and Thriving is your company. When you support Striving and Thriving Soaps, you not only support our family of 7. You support other local farmers and businesses that we partner with.
